We are looking for our client, Edelman, a Head of Planning (H/F).

Since our founding in 1952 by Dan Edelman, they have remained an independent, family-run company. 


The Head of Planning is in charge of supporting brands and institutions in their positioning and communication in order to develop and protect the trust capital of their customers by integrating all of the Edelman’s expertises.

More specifically, he/she is responsible to :

  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for clients 
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and ensure overall performance of client campaigns
  • Brief and collaborates with Creative Directors and their teams.
  • Play a lead role in the business development process and gains the confidence of the
  • prospect, thereby contributing positively to Edelman's financial objectives.
  • Analyse markets and identify opportunities for improvement/innovation.
  • Lead/consult the analysis of the 5 Cs: Culture, Consumer, Competitive, Corporate and
  • Communication.
  • Is an active partner to New Business team and Account leads, developing prospecting and pitch materials.
  • manages a team of 2 strategic planners


- Experience in planning, insights and analysis across different practices/sectors and multiple brand categories

- Experience in an integrated marketing, advertising, digital or PR agency environment 


- Ability to transform global concepts into communication systems

- Knowledge of agency planning models and capabilities

- Strong understanding of brand strategy and brand equity measurement

- Ability to consult on primary research and lead secondary research (based on primary research skills - design and execution of ethnographies, focus groups, brand workshops and data analysis)

- Strong presentation skills, able to articulate intelligent and sometimes complex solutions in a simple and clear manner to a range of internal and external audiences

- Ability to develop strong narratives to provide insights and strategy to gain customer buy-in

- Have played a key role in the successful execution of a new brand, the advancement of a challenger brand or the reinvention of a brand to enable it to perform again, and ability to articulate the results of these efforts
